Iris Kay Long, 77, of Federal Way, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012.
She was born on Sept. 24, 1935, in Mt. Vernon, WA. Iris graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1954. She married the late Richard (Dick) A. Long Sr. in 1954 in Port Angeles, WA.
Iris was well known for working at People’s Department Store and at Lamont’s Department Store, both at the Seatac Mall in Federal Way. Iris finally retired in 1995 after winning the Quinto lottery.
Iris is survived by her four children: Rich A. (Peggy) Long II; Vickie Long;
Anita Long; and Teri (Ricky) Campbell. She also is survived by five grandchildren: R. Allen (Jenny) Long; Caren (Bonifacio) Yanez; Jennifer Dulaney; Scott (Diane) Jackson; Shelby (Sergei) Wilson. She also had four great-grandchildren: Alex, Lucas, Allissa and Ana. Finally, she was survived by Molly, her baby Poochin dog of three years.

Viewing will be on Thursday, January 3 at 3-6pm at Yahn & Son Funeral Home in Auburn. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 also at Yahn & Son Funeral Home.
