Former Federal Way resident Helen Margaret Lupinski Smith died March 21 in Bellevue. She was 72.

Born April 15, 1930 in Mataway, N.J., she lived in Federal Way from the early 1960s to 1991, when she moved to Bellevue.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Smith of Bellevue; sons Stephen Lupinski of San Antonio, Texas, Jeffrey Lupinski of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Thomas Lupinski of Garden City, Mich; daughters Nanci Lupinski of Olympia and Susan Lupinski of Lakewood; stepsons Frank, Marty and Craig; sisters Jean Fierro of New Jersey and Anna Mae Davis of Florida; and five grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 26 at St. Madeleine Sophie Catholic Church on Mercer Island, followed by burial at 1:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetery in Federal Way. Arrangements are by Green Funeral Home of Bellevue.

The family suggests memorials be made to the National Parkinsons Organization.
