George A. Woodruff of the Auburn West Hill area died Aug. 21 in Seattle.
He was 70.
He was born Nov. 13, 1933 in Crook, Colo..
He served as an Air Force airman, earning a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
He retired in 1994 as a mechanic with Seattle Packaging. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survlvors include a son, Jerrod Dean Woodruff of Graham, and a daughter, Kimberly Lovvik of Start Up; his mother, Nora Woodruff; sisters Joanne Tonkin of Seattle and Jessie Tresch of Kent; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1991.
Inurnment was at Tahoma National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Yahn and Son Funeral Home in Auburn.
The family requests that memorials be made to cancer research.
