Longtime south King County resident Garry Rumpel died Sept. 22 at his home in Federal Way. He was 47.

He was born Aug. 25, 1956 in Hermiston, Ore., and was a 1974 graduate of Borah High School in Boise, Idaho. He was baptized in 1972 at Calvary Baptist Church in Boise.

Survivors include his parents, Richard and Daisy Rumpel of Federal Way; a brother, David Rumpel of Renton; and a sister, Sandy Rumpel Bisom of Kent.

Private family ceremonies were held Sept. 27 at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn. Arrangements were by Yahn and Son Funeral Home.
