Floyd Warren Baker died Feb. 27. He was 76.
Born June 9, 1926 in Tacoma, he graduated in 1943 from Stadium High School in Tacoma and later served in the Army.
He worked for the Panama Canal Company for 21 years before retiring to Federal Way in 1981.
He was a charter member of Wayside United Church of Christ.
He also was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 1452, and a member of Panama Canal Society and Cascade Ambassadors 395.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Beverly; sons Glen and Paul; daughters Carol Goodwin and Beth; a sister, Joyce Carsten; and four grandchildren.
A celebration of his life is planned for 1:30 p.m. March 8 at Wayside United Church of Christ at 2000 SW. Dash Point Road in Federal Way.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Wayside United Church of Christ, designating the Children’s Food Fund of the San Blas Medical Mission in Panama, or the new sound system for the church.
