Dietrick Jones

Dietrick (Deke) Jones died at home on Nov. 17, 2006, at age 89.

He was born Dec. 19, 1916, in Olympia. He was an engineer and worked at Boeing for more than 40 years.

He was past president of the Federal Way Historical Society, Friendship Force, Northwest Council of Camera Clubs and the North Lake Improvement Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Jones; his four children Jana McIlroy, Marna Jones, Gary Jones and Glenda Jones; and eight grandchildren.

Private burial services were held Nov. 21 at the Masonic Memorial Park in Tumwater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Federal Way Historical Society or the North Lake Improvement Club.
