Dana P. Berghuis died Oct. 7 at age 95.

Born Oct. 24, 1910, in McHenry, N.D., he was a 25-year Federal Way resident. Dana graduated from Auburn High School in 1930, the University of Washington in 1937 with a bachelor’s in biology, and Oregon State University in 1939 with a master’s degree in game management.

His wife of 63 years, Grace Johnston, preceded him in death in April 2006. They had no children. He is survived by brother Ralph Berghuis of Sequim.

A private graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn where he will be buried alongside his wife.
