Connie Colleen Cook Britt of Federal Way died Oct. 19 in Bellevue. She was 50.
Born Dec. 9, 1951 in Seattle, she was a lifetime Federal Way resident. She was a teacher at Brooklake Christian School where she co-developed a “Love and Honor” curriculum which became the foundation for “Operation Teen Respect,” a nationally recognized youth abstinence education program.
She enjoyed sports, cooking, wedding planning, and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Britt of Federal Way; children Matthew Allen Britt, Kendra Lynn Britt, and Caitlin Nicole Britt of Federal Way; mother, Elaine E. Cook of Federal Way; brothers, Steven T. Cook of Tacoma, and Keith M. Cook of Federal Way; and sister, Teri K. Sato of Federal Way.
She was preceded in death by her father, Durward M. Cook.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and Thursday, Oct. 24 at Price Helton Funeral Home, 702 Auburn Way N.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25 in Community of Christ at St. Lukes Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn.
Memorials are suggested to the Britt Family Fund at Boeing Employees Credit Union, American Cancer Society or Community of Christ at St. Lukes.
