April 14, 1949 – December 12, 2022

Charles Clark Smith of Federal Way, Washington, passed away at St. Francis Community Hospital in Federal Way on December 12, 2022.

He was born in Roseburg, Oregon on April 14, 1949 to Howard and Patricia (Leahy) Smith. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army having served three tours of duty in Viet Nam. He worked for over 30 years as a Reclamation Specialist for Boeing. Charles’ passion was collecting stamps and coins.

He was preceded in death by his parent and a grandson, Todd Smith. Charles’ surviving family includes two sons, Benjamin Smith and Joshua Smith; one grandson, Cameron Smith; two granddaughters, Alexandra Smith and Nevaeh Smith; two brothers, Bob Smith and David Smith; and one sister, Linda Surmon.

A graveside service for Charles will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Mount Vernon on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12 noon. Charles will receive military honors.
