Carolyn Buck Scheerer died Sept. 15 in Federal Way. She was 79.

She was born July 22, 1926 in Wethersfield, Conn., and graduated from Lasell College in Auburndale, Maine.

She moved to Seattle in 1951 and worked at Boeing until retirement.

She was an active member in her church and with the Mountaineers.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Rusk; a sister, Barbara Buck Lipes; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton, and son, David.

Services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at Steel Lake Presbyterian Church, 1829 S. 308th St. in Federal Way.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to Steel Lake Presbyterian Church.
