Carl “Don” Carlisle died Oct. 7 at his home in Redondo. He was 85.
Born Nov. 20, 1916, in Puyallup, he was a 51-year resident of Redondo.
During World War II, he served in the Army in the South Pacific.
He was a retired Teamster, having driven long-haul and local trucks for more than 40 years. During his retirement, he traveled in the United States with his wife, spending winters in the Arizona desert and camping in his motorhome.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bonnie; his children, Donna Barber of Ventura, Calif., Carolyn Mosby of Palo Alto, Calif., Shirley Cowan of Oak Harbor and Mike Carlisle of Federal Way; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
