Bruce R. Haman of Federal Way died at home on May 27. He was 36.
He was born on March 3, 1967 in Minot, N.D. The family moved in 1979 to Williston, N.D., where he graduated from high school. He attended North Dakota State School of Science for one year, moved to North Seattle in 1990 and to Federal Way in 2001.
He was a self-employed carpet installer and owner of B.H. Carpet Installation.
Survivors include his parents, Benny Haman of Williston and Donna Haman of Bellevue; sisters Nancy Stelljes, of Littleton, Colo., and Stacey Montplaisir of Firestone, Colo.; and a brother, Paul Haman of Redmond.
A funeral service was held June 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Issaquah, followed by burial at Lower Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements were by Flintofts Issaquah Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials be made to the Bruce R. Haman Memorial Fund through the Bank of America to benefit the Seattle Wolves Hockey Club, which he played for.
