• Explosive device: At 7:24 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 4000 block of Southwest 325th Street, a woman notified police that she found a suspicious item in the flower bed at Treasure Island Park

• Explosive device: At 7:24 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 4000 block of Southwest 325th Street, a woman notified police that she found a suspicious item in the flower bed at Treasure Island Park. The item looked like a long rifle cartridge with the bullet removed, according to the police report. The bullet had been replaced with a wax cap with a hobby fuse coming out of the end, according to the report. The item was a very small pipe bomb with black powder inside, according to the report. The police officer poured out the black powder and it was disposed by ignition.

• Assault: At 7:10 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 31000 block of 11th Place Southwest, a man became upset with a woman due to her sexual orientation, according to a police report. The man tried to fight her, but she refused. The man then punched the woman several times, causing her to have a bloody nose and to vomit, according to the report. He was arrested and booked for malicious harassment and assault 2.

• Trouble with a glass bowl: At 10:15 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 33000 block of 35th Avenue Southwest, a divorced couple with children in common got into a heated dispute. The man threw a glass bowl on the ground that broke and then walked across the broken glass and fell on the shards, causing deep cuts to his feet, leg and hand, according to the police report. The man was transported to St. Francis Hospital.

• Exposed: At 10:36 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 2100 block of Southwest 334th Street, a police officer witnessed a woman standing while exposing her buttocks and a breast, according to a police report. The officer contacted the woman and she said that she was “too hot and trying to cool down,” according to the report. She was booked into the Buckley Jail on an unrelated theft warrant.

• Stolen beer and air punches: At 1:53 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, two unidentified males entered a 7-11 and stole two 12-packs of beer. One suspect stole the beer while the other threw punches at the clerk, according to the police report. The man made no contact with the clerk. The suspects were not located and police are waiting for video.

• Luring: At 7:59 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 2000 block of Southwest 330th Street, police were notified that two Latino males attempted to lure a 12-year-old girl into their truck, according to the police report. The girl then started to run away with her 10-year-old nephew. The two males continued to follow, but were unsuccessful due to the kids hiding in the bushes, according to the police report.

• Recipes all over the yard: At 8:51 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 28000 block of 22nd Avenue South, a woman who was temporarily separated from her husband and staying at her parents, reported that he went to her parents’ house to pick up his property. The woman then caught him going through her stuff, according to the police report, and an argument ensued. The man then threw a sentimental box of the woman’s recipes all over the front yard prior to leaving, according to the report.

• Burglary: At 9:37 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 1900 block of Southwest 321st Lane, a family who had just returned from a weekend-long trip discovered a bedroom window had been forced open. Several items were stolen. Suspects stole approximately $2,000 worth of property, including a television, XBox, DVD player and wedding rings.

• Bomb threat: At 3:44 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 1500 block of South 348th Street, a manager at Fat Burger told police that he got a phone call from what sounded like a teenage female saying “there was a woman in the restaurant with a bomb,” according to the police report. Two workers checked out the customers and found no one suspicious. They also checked the restrooms and tables, and didn’t locate anything suspicious, according to the police report. The manager said nothing had occurred to indicate the call was more than just a prank.

• Pulling a gun on your brother: At 4:38 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 3000 block of Southwest 325th Place, police were called after two brothers started to yell at each other over furniture, according to a police report. One brother stated that his other brother can become extremely violent and had access to several tools. So when the brother ran toward him, the other brother brandished a pistol, according to the report. The brother stopped and left the scene. He had no tools or any other weapons in his hand, according to the report.
