A 58-year-old woman was taken to Harborview Feb. 20 after her 70-year-old husband shot her at a residence north of Mirror Lake on Sunday afternoon.

Federal Way police officers responded around 1 p.m. to the reported shooting in the 30700 block of 8th Avenue SW. They took the 70-year-old man into custody while other officers rendered aid to the woman, according to FWPD Commander Kurt Schwan.

The woman was taken to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

The shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute, Schwan said, and detectives are investigating. No one else was injured during the incident.
