Video: Man steals $3,000 of vinyl records from Barnes and Noble

No suspect was located.

About $3,000 worth of vinyl records were inconspicuously stolen Aug. 13 from Barnes and Noble in Federal Way.

On Aug. 13, according to a Federal Way Police Department case report retrieved via public records request, a white male described as being in his 40s, 50s, or 60s entered Barnes and Noble, 31325 Pacific Hwy. S., and filled a large green sea bag with approximately 100 vinyl records.

The man then fled in a black Kia Soul. No suspect had been found when the report was filed.

From the video retrieved by The Mirror, the man was in and out of the store in exactly 50 seconds. He walked around the area where the vinyls were for a moment, then pulled the bag out from inside his jacket and stuffed the green sea bag to the top with vinyl records. Shortly after the man left the store, an employee stopped, looked at the display where about 100 records were now missing, and then walked away.
