A vehicle struck a mother walking with her two young children, ages 20 months and 5 years, around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, in the 1800 block of Southwest Campus Drive.

Both children were injured. The older boy was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. The younger boy suffered serious injuries. The mother was not seriously harmed. The children remain in the hospital in stable condition with serious injuries.

Federal Way’s traffic collision team is investigating. The 31-year-old Federal Way driver is not being named because she has not been charged with a crime.
