Unconscious victim in the street | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Unconscious victim: At 5:27 p.m. March 20 at 1825 S. 330th St., officers responded to a call of an unconscious person lying in the street. A witness reported seeing two suspects kicking the victim in the head.

• Damaged pay phone: At 8:48 a.m. March 17 at 32002 Military Road S., a person reported that one of his company’s pay phones was damaged and $83.25 was taken from inside the machine.

• Fraudulent check: At 12:58 p.m. March 20 at 2100 S.W. 336th St., a suspect attempted to cash a check that appeared to be fraudulent.

• DUI accident: At 1:52 a.m. March 20 in the 1800 block of South 312th Street, police responded to a vehicle accident. The driver’s blood alcohol level was taken twice. It registered at .210 and .215. The suspect was released to his or her family.

• Offensive graffiti: At 11:06 a.m. March 20 in the 4200 block of SW 323rd Street, a victim reported three swastikas were painted on his or her vehicle’s window and another on one of the vehicle’s doors. Racial slurs and male genitalia were painted on a neighbor’s fence.

• Gun looks real: At 8:51 p.m. March 21 in the 31200 block of 28th Avenue South, police responded to a call of a man standing in a parking lot with a gun at his waist. Police contacted the juvenile and discovered the gun was an airsoft toy. The juvenile admitted to having marijuana in his possession.

• Domestic assault: At 8:04 p.m. March 21 in the 27300 block of 24th Avenue South, a suspect choked his girlfriend until she nearly lost consciousness. He then took her phone so she could not call police. He was arrested when he returned to the home.

• Warrant: At 5:03 p.m. March 21 at 33325 8th Ave. S., a suspect came to the police station and turned himself/herself in for an active warrant.

• Possible runaway: At 10:18 a.m. March 22 in the 33300 block of 22nd Lane South, a mother reported her teenage daughter and grandchild were missing. The complainant believes her daughter and one-year-old granddaughter went to Seattle to stay with the daughter’s boyfriend.

• Graffiti: At 9:02 a.m. March 22 at 29600 Pacific Highway South, it was discovered that a suspect spray painted a public concrete wall with images drawn in purple paint.
