The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:
• At 3:03 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 31000 block of Pacific Highway South, a mom reported her son was confronted and robbed by three suspects. When the victim declined to hand over his iPod to the suspects they assaulted him. The victim complained of pain to his testicles but refused to give police more information.
• At 9:37 p.m. Sept. 16 at 31621 23rd Ave. S., police were called to the scene of a robbery at the Transit Center. Two unknown males took an iPod and demanded the victim pay money to get it back. Nobody was injured and no weapons were involved.
• At 7:12 a.m. Sept. 17 at 1710 S. 344th St., it was reported that an unknown suspect cut a vehicle’s gas hose and siphoned the fuel. The damaged hose was discovered when the vehicle’s owner stopped to refuel.
• At 1:18 p.m. Sept. 17 in the 34000 block of 23rd Avenue Southwest, a couple reported reason to believe a former employee sold their personal information to a third party without authorization to do so.
• At 2:25 p.m. Sept. 17 at 30217 33rd Ave. S.W., an unknown suspect cut a mooring line to a sailboat.
• At 9:33 a.m. Sept. 18 in the 28600 block of 25th Place South, police responded to a report of physical domestic abuse. The suspect was gone upon police arrival. The victim had visible strangulation marks on her neck and was wet and muddy from being dragged.
• At 7:18 a.m. Sept. 18 in the 600 block of Southwest 330th Street, officers attempted to stop a person for a traffic violation. The driver tried to elude police and crashed the vehicle before fleeing on foot. The suspect was not located.
• At 2:03 a.m. Sept. 18 in the 31800 block of Pacific Highway South, two juveniles turned themselves into police as missing persons from a drug and alcohol treatment center in Tacoma.
• At 2:59 p.m. Sept. 15 at 28810 Military Road S., police responded to Safeway on a report of fraud. A suspect had attempted to pass a bad check through an account that had been overdrawn for more than one year.
• At 3:35 p.m. Sept. 15 in the 3200 block of 7th Place South, a victim was walking home from school when an unknown white male in a pick-up truck offered her a ride and attempted to coerce her into his vehicle. The girl ran away.
• At 12:53 a.m. Sept. 14 at 31620 3rd Place S.W., police were called to a scene in which dispatch reported that a female asked for help via another party’s cell phone. The female was crying. When police arrived at the residence, the suspected owner of the phone was playing video games and the suspected caller was sleeping. Both denied any assault or placing a call to 911. The only cell phone present had a different number than the one used to place the emergency call.
• At 5:10 p.m. Sept. 14 in the 28600 block of Pacific Highway South, a victim reported she was raped by an acquaintance at her residence Sept. 6.
• At 12:44 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 3300 block of South 272nd Street, a father told police his 3-year-old daughter made statements to her 15-year-old sister that indicated the toddler had possibly been sexually mistreated. A preliminary investigation revealed no crime.
• At 12:03 a.m. Sept. 13 at 33300, police observed two vehicles driving recklessly. The drivers were pulled over and cited for racing.
• At 1:08 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 32000 block of 43rd Place Southwest, two people involved in a dispute in the middle of the road near a vehicle were contacted by police. They stated they were arguing over who would drive the vehicle and reported the former driver fled the scene. Both contacts denied any physical assault took place.
