Feb. 5

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Crystal-like substance found: At about 2:20 p.m. in the 34000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers checked a gas station parking lot, and an officer observed a vehicle with the trunk wide open. The vehicle was running, and the female driver was slumped over the wheel. The officers observed in plain view a crystal-like substance packaged in a plastic zip-lock bag. Officers ordered the female driver to exit the vehicle. The female driver was detained for violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.

Kidnapping or abduction: At about 10:50 a.m. on S. 300th Street, there was a report of kidnapping or abduction.

Murder arrest: At about 7:20 p.m. in the 33000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., Federal Way police were assigned to VSWAT to assist the Auburn Police Department in arresting a second-degree murder suspect. The arrest took place at the Stevenson Motel.

Burglar caught: At about 4:35 a.m. in the 29000 block of Marine View Drive SW, officers responded to a residential burglary in progress. Officers located the suspect and detained him. Investigation revealed probable cause for second-degree burglary.

Restaurant stabbing: At about 2:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of S. 320th Street, the reporting party reported that a worker at his restaurant stabbed another worker.

Firearm stolen: At about 2:10 a.m. in the 34000 block of 16th Ave. S., there was a report that a victim’s firearm was stolen from his vehicle.

Woman refuses to pay for food: At about 7:40 p.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there was a report that a person was refusing to pay for the food she had eaten. Police attempted to have the woman pay for the food she had eaten, but she stated that someone else was supposed to pay for it. The female had been at the restaurant for over an hour. She was then arrested and booked for a misdemeanor charge.

Feb. 7

There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Singe vehicle rollover: At about 2:20 a.m. in the 34000 block of Enchanted Parkway S., officers responded to a single-vehicle rollover collision. The officers observed that the driver was exhibiting signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. The driver refused a breath test, blood was taken, and they were booked into jail for driving under the influence.

Two juveniles driving without a license: At about 3:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of SW 320th St., a juvenile with no license or identification was pulled over for driving 56 mph in a 40 mph zone. The passenger stated that the vehicle was her mother’s, and she was teaching the other juveniles how to drive. The report states that the juvenile passenger was 15 years old and also did not have a license. Officers allowed the juveniles to call someone to pick up the vehicle, but no one did, so it was impounded.

Man found asleep with narcotics: At about 5:50 p.m. in the 31000 block of 18th Ave. S., officers viewed a vehicle stopped, with the driver passed out behind the wheel. Officers viewed narcotics and paraphernalia on the passenger seat. The driver was arrested, interviewed and released. His narcotics were taken as evidence.

Feb. 8

There was one vehicle theft reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Rock thrown at car: At about 11:50 p.m. in the 35000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., an officer responded to a report of a vehicle getting hit by a rock thrown by a suspicious person on the side of the road. No suspects were identified.

Robbery with a knife: At about 9:50 p.m. in the 28000 block of 18th Ave. S., there was a report of a robbery with a knife. Officers established probable cause for first-degree robbery. There was no suspect information except for a vague physical description. No witnesses or CCTV footage. No evidence of a weapon was recovered.

Feb. 9

There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Shot with BB gun: At about 12:30 a.m. on Pacific Hwy. S., a woman reported that she had been shot with a BB gun by an unknown suspect in a vehicle. The only vehicle description was a dark sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry. The woman was uninjured, but small silver BBs were found in the area.

Feb. 10

There were three vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Smells like marijuana: At about 11:20 a.m., at a Federal Way high school, there was a report of a non-student who smelled like marijuana who refused to leave after being asked multiple times. The subject was on Facetime with his mother, who also said he was trespassed. The person said he was trying to enroll in school, but did not have enough credits. The student then left with another student.

Weapons violation: At about 4:30 p.m. in the 31000 block of 23rd Ave. S., there was a report that officers were attempting to contact a male who was reported to have a firearm on a bus. Officers attempted to locate the male, but he was not found. Two males were detained and released after determining they were not involved.

Stolen vehicle pursuit: At about 7:10 p.m. on S. 330th St. and Pacific Hwy. S., officers viewed a stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it. A brief pursuit was initiated, but terminated due to a lack of containment in the area.

Feb. 11

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Burglar arrested: At about noon in the 4600 block of SW 320th St., there was a report of a burglary. Upon arrival, the reporting party stated there was a pried door, flashlights and movement from inside the building. Officers cleared the building and located a suspect inside. He was identified and booked.

Student robbed outside of school: At about 12:50 p.m., a student at a Federal Way high school reported that when he was walking off campus, three students approached him and told him to give them his stuff. After emptying $100 from his wallet and taking a Visa gift card from his wallet, the students left. The victim said that he did not know the students’ names, but had seen them at school since the incident. The victim said he did not want to press charges, but he felt scared during the incident and felt like he had to comply or would risk getting beat up.
