Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Possible overdose: At 10:09 p.m. May 6 in the 32000 block of 43rd Place Southwest, police were dispatched after getting a call of a 3-year-old consuming medication. The child’s father said the boy might have consumed as many as 30 bipolar disorder pills belonging to his girlfriend, according to a police report. The pills were found in the woman’s purse and the dad or girlfriend weren’t present when the 3-year-old found the pills, according to the police report.

• That’s not me: At 10:56 a.m. May 5, a man came into the police department to report that someone had used his name when they got a recent traffic ticket. The man thinks it was his cousin, who knows all of his personal information, according to the report.

• Fake assault: At 10:07 a.m. May 5 in the 29000 block of 23rd Avenue South, a woman called police to report an assault. She said a cup was thrown at her. The woman later recanted the story.

• Threat: At 9:38 a.m. May 5 at Todd Beamer High School, police were called after a student threatened to kick the principal of the school. The principal was addressing the student, who was truant from class and violating school rules, according to the police report. The suspect then threatened to kick him. School staff attempted to handle the situation, but the suspect was uncooperative. The suspect was later arrested.

• Marijuana: At 7:39 a.m. May 5 at Decatur High School, police were contacted by a school administrator, who found a small baggy of marijuana in a student’s purse. Two female suspects were brought to the administrator by a teacher, who smelled the odor from behind the gymnasium, according to a police report.

• Assault: At 11:18 p.m. May 6 in the 28000 block of 9th Avenue South, police were called to the scene of an assault. Upon arrival, police contacted the victim who said that a man punched him in the jaw. The victim pointed to a group of males standing close by and said that the man was in that group, according to the police report. The victim couldn’t identify the aggressor.

• Malicious mischief: At 10:17 p.m. May 6 in the 29000 block of 21st Avenue South, a woman reported an unlawful entry into her house and malicious mischief to items in her bedroom. The woman believes it was her ex-boyfriend who entered the bedroom while she wasn’t there, according to the police report. There was no report of what was done in the bedroom.

• Rape: At 10:44 p.m. May 6 in the 31000 block of 1st Avenue South, police were dispatched to St. Francis Hospital on the report that a woman was raped. The victim stated that a man she knew from high school forced her to have sex while at a party, according to a police report. A witness said that she heard the victim saying to stop while they were in the bedroom. The suspect admitted to having sex with the woman, but said it was consensual. The man was booked on a rape charge.

• Stolen money: At 3:30 p.m. May 6, the owner of Can-Am Pizza on Pacific Highway South called police to report that an unknown white male had stolen a donation card containing approximately $20 in quarters from the counter, according to a police report. The man was described as having acne all over his face and legs. He hid the donation card under his shirt and fled to a waiting automobile, the report said.

• Stolen wallet: At 12:29 p.m. May 6 in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, a suspect entered a business and took a wallet from a purse. The suspect was quickly confronted by the victim and a scuffle broke out on the street. An officer, who was across the street, intervened and got control of the suspect, according to a police report. The suspect was also arrested and booked into King County Jail for having another outstanding warrant.

• Stolen car: At 12:27 a.m. May 5 in the 31000 block of 1st Avenue South, officers attempted to stop a male in a vehicle who was involved in “suspicious circumstances.” The man fled in the vehicle and eventually crashed into a carport, according to the police report. After the crash, the man fled on foot and was later apprehended by police. The car he was driving was stolen out of Kent and the man also had a felony warrant for auto theft in Montana. He was booked into the King County Jail.
