Tesla chargers stolen: At about 8:40 a.m. in the 2000 block of S. 320th St., there was a report that four Tesla charging cords were stolen from a charging station. The estimated value of the cords is $48,000. The case was inactive, depending on leads resulting from camera footage. No suspect info.

There was one vehicle theft reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Fireworks fired at car: At about 12:20 a.m. in the 31000 block of 22nd Ave. S., the victim stated that as he was turning onto a street, an unknown subject in a white SUV shot a firework at the driver’s side of his Dodge Ram truck. The victim and the passenger were both uninjured.
Drive-by shooting: At about 12:40 a.m. in the 900 block of SW Campus Drive, there was a report that a male suspect shot into an apartment window before leaving in a silver Crown Victoria. Officers conducted a welfare check on the apartment building. No one was found injured. Officers located bullet defects and fragments. Witnesses only heard but did not see the shooting occur. There was probable cause for a drive-by shooting, pending suspect identification.

Burglary: At about 9:35 a.m. in the 30000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there was a report of an overnight burglary. An unknown suspect gained entry to the location and stole approximately $711.54.
Robbery: At about 12:30 p.m. in the 12000 block of SW 344th St., an officer was dispatched to a robbery on the street that occurred with a weapon that was not a firearm.
Obstructing justice: At about 3:10 p.m. in the 2100 block of SW 336th St., police located a possible stolen vehicle in the east Safeway parking lot. Upon contact, a male exited the driver’s seat, and another male exited the passenger seat. The driver was subsequently arrested, but the passenger ran away, resulting in a foot pursuit in which the passenger was taken to the ground. The suspect and officers suffered injuries. The suspect was transported for injuries and then cited for obstruction and released.

There were three vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Attempted gas station robbery: At about 5:45 a.m. in the 4600 block of SW 320th St., officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery with injuries. The suspect was identified as a Mexican juvenile, approximately 18-21 years old, wearing a dark reflective jacket, dark jeans and a navy blue beanie. A perimeter was set up for a K9 track, and a track was initiated, but the suspect was not located. The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital for her injuries, and officers were able to acquire a recorded statement. Active felony investigation.
Coins stolen: At about 12:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of S. Commons, there was a report that a coin hatch on a kids ride was damaged, and the coin box and contents were stolen by unknown suspects. The victim said the ride normally brings in $250 to $300 weekly, and the total cost of replacement of the hatch and box is approximately $235. No evidence or witnesses.

There were three vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Driving the wrong way: At about 2:15 a.m. in the 30000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., Federal Way officers observed a vehicle driving in oncoming traffic on Pacific Hwy. S. The vehicle yielded to a traffic stop. After an investigation, the driver was arrested for DUI. The suspect was booked into jail.
Car thieves scared away: At about 10:50 a.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., unknown males broke into the victim’s vehicle, a Kia Sportage, possibly to steal it. A neighbor saw two males and scared them away after they broke the rear driver-side passenger window. Nothing was taken, and no other damage was reported. No suspect info other than two young Black males.
Officer’s vehicle vandalized: At about 5:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of S. 317th St., a Federal Way patrol vehicle was found to have been vandalized. At the time of the incident, officers were on scene, investigating a domestic violence call. When they returned from the call, they found that the fender had been keyed, and the words “BECH AMERICAZ” had been etched into it. There were no video cameras observed in the vicinity of the incident.
Man found deceased in vehicle: At about 9:15 p.m. on S. 320th St., officers arrived to the location for a welfare check and found a male slumped over in an SUV. Upon arrival, officers found that the man was unresponsive. The male appeared to have signs of infection in his legs, and his body was rigid, consistent with the signs of rigor mortis. It was determined to be an obvious death, and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office took the body.
