Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• A movie and…: At 11:48 p.m. April 3 in the 34000 block of 16th Avenue South, police were called by a Wal-Mart employee, saying the store had three suspects in custody for attempting to steal DVDs and condoms. Two of the suspects were underage and released to their parents. The case was forwarded to the prosecutor.

• Fighting cousins: At 5:51 p.m. March 30 in the 200 block of Southwest 325th Place, police were called regarding a pair of first cousins fighting. One of the cousins allegedly punched his other family member in the head, causing injury. He was booked on fourth-degree assault charges. According to the police report, the mothers of the two cousins are twin sisters.

• Not quite a family campground: At 10:52 a.m. March 31 in the 33900 block of Pacific Highway South, while conducting a welfare check, police located several campsites along with large amounts of human feces and litter. Several “campers” were told that there were “no trespassing” signs posted on the property and were told to leave.

• Not the way you want to wake up: At 11:52 p.m. April 1 in the 2100 block of Southwest 352nd Street, a man told police that he woke up to the sound of an unknown black male, described as wearing a blue sweatsuit with a blue beanie, who was inside the apartment. The suspect quickly exited the apartment when the man saw him, according to the report. The suspect allegedly climbed up a balcony and entered through a sliding glass door.

• Shakedown: At 7:03 p.m. April 1 in the 1200 block of 356th Street, police were contacted by a man who claimed that a private investigator and another unknown man came into his office and demanded he pay them money. The men allegedly threatened to have the victim arrested and put in jail because he committed fraud and had a gun. According to the report, the private investigator was wearing a suit and had a concealed handgun. The victim claimed he was having an ongoing business dispute with a man in Canada.

• Argument: At 11:24 p.m. April 2 in the 800 block of Southwest 361st Street, police were called regarding an argument between a woman and her ex-boyfriend. The two still live together and the woman wouldn’t allow her ex inside the home after she saw him out front with another female. The man eventually punched out an outside light, cutting his hand. He refused medical aid.

• Relationship dispute: At 12:44 a.m. April 2 in the 33000 block of 10th Avenue Southwest, police were called about a domestic dispute over a relationship. According to the report, a woman arrived home intoxicated and upset over a death in the family. The woman knocked over a glass vase, breaking it. She eventually cut her hand while attempting to clean up. The woman declined medical aid.

• Bright lights: At 8:54 p.m. April 3 in the 2100 block of Southwest 322nd Street, police were called by neighbors regarding the backyard light at a residence being too bright. The man eventually turned off the light.

• Rape: At 4:13 p.m. April 3 in the 30600 block of Pacific Highway South, police were alerted by two underage girls who claim to have been sexually assaulted. According to police records, three girls were drinking alcohol with a male suspect, who was over 21 years of age and bought the liquor. According to records, the suspect encouraged the girls to “drink a lot.” Later in the night, the girls claim that the suspect sexually assaulted them.

• The old dine and dash move: At 12:04 a.m. April 3 in the 34900 block of Enchanted Parkway, police received a call from a Shari’s Restaurant employee that four Samoan males had ordered $82.66 worth of food. After eating all of the food, the males ran out the front door of the restaurant without paying.
