There were at least three reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Armed robbery: At about 1:10 a.m. near the 28700 block of Military Road South, officers responded to an armed robbery. Two suspects entered the store with one suspect demanding money from the register while displaying a handgun. Three victims were inside the store. The suspects fled with cash and a few packs of cigarettes.
Stolen purse: At about 10:44 p.m. near the 34500 block of 16th Avenue South, officers responded to Walmart for reports of a robbery. The person was robbed of her purse from her vehicle and the suspect then struck the person in the head with a firearm.
April 20
There were at least six reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Community center break-in: At about 9 p.m. near the 33400 block of 21st Avenue SW, an unknown number of suspects gained entry into the community center. While inside, the suspects kicked open a locked door leading to an office and stole various cleaning supplies, then fled the scene.
April 21
There was at least one report of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Armed robbery: At about 2 a.m. near the 34700 block of Pacific Highway South, police responded to a robbery at the 7-Eleven gas station. The suspects fled in a stolen vehicle after three male suspects robbed the store clerk at gunpoint.
Overpass thrower: At about 9:50 a.m. near the 2500 block of South 320th Street, a suspect was seen throwing items off of the freeway overpass onto Interstate 5 below, causing a significant threat to the safety of drivers below. The suspect was arrested and booked into jail.
April 22

April 23
There were at least six reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Rental car crashed: At about 12:39 a.m. near the 500 block of SW 305th Street, a vehicle was found abandoned in a ditch and a witness reported seeing three male subjects exit and run away from the vehicle. The car was a rental and had damage to the ignition. Both passenger side windows were also broken.
Traffic obstruction: At about 4:44 a.m. near the 400 block of South 316th Place, a suspect obstructed traffic while riding on the hood of his girlfriend’s vehicle as she attempted to drive away. The suspect punched a police patrol car twice and attempted to get into the patrol car as officers were leaving.
April 24
There was at least one report of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Gunfire heard: At about 2:10 a.m. near the 2800 block of South 288th Street, officers responded to reports of gunfire. The suspect was gone upon police arrival, but officers found 18 bullet casings nearby.
Threats: At about 11 a.m. near the 5200 block of SW Dash Point Road, a suspect was standing in front of the victim’s residence and pointing a gun at him and making verbal threats. Officers arrived on scene, but the suspect fled in a stolen vehicle. A short chase was initiated and the suspect crashed the stolen car shortly after. The suspect was booked into jail after being medically cleared at the hospital.
April 25
There were at least five reports of vehicle theft or attempted vehicle theft on this day.
Intoxicated customer: At about 9:46 a.m. near the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, a man spit in the face of a Safeway employee after the man was refused service to purchase alcohol because he appeared to already be impaired. The man was seen driving to his apartment. He was arrested, determined to be driving under the influence and was booked into jail.
