There were two vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Fake bill at Dick’s: At about 12:30 p.m., at Dick’s Drive-In, an unidentified male attempted to pay with a counterfeit $10 bill. The male left the restaurant, and footage of him was given to officers.
Stolen gun: At about 1:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of SW 352nd Court, a woman stated that her handgun was stolen. She said she last saw the handgun at her home.
Pointed handgun: At about 4 p.m. in the 1000 block of SW Campus Drive, a victim flagged down a police officer and advised that a male in another vehicle had pointed a firearm at them. The victim said he then pursued the vehicle at a high rate of speed. The suspect was not located.
Man strategically steals alcohol: At about 7:40 p.m. at Safeway in the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, an employee reported that an unidentified male in his early 20s wearing a red hat, a tan shirt and tan pants used a screwdriver to break the lock on the liquor containment. The employee stated that the male stole two bottles of scotch worth $200 and another bottle of scotch worth $300. No suspect was identified.
July 25
There were three vehicle thefts, and four vehicles were recovered on this day.
Gun, scale and fentanyl: At about 4:10 p.m. in the 32000 block of Military Road South, a backpack containing a firearm, a scale, a single fentanyl pill, and various personal items were turned into the office. The firearm was returned clear and had no record. The owner has not come forward to claim it. These items were booked into evidence for safekeeping due to there not being a crime at this time.
Shoplifter with gun: At about 10:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of SW 356th Street, the person reported that at the listed time, three suspects shoplifted from his store. He reported that one of the suspects was armed with a gun. He said that he was not at the location at the time of the theft, only his employee was.
July 26
There was one vehicle theft, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.
Woman taking off her clothes: At about 10:30 a.m. in the 34000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., a woman was observed in the middle of the road taking off her clothes. An officer saw her almost get hit by a car, and upon arrival, the officer saw her folding up her clothes. The officer instructed her to get out of the road, but it did not seem like she comprehended what he said, so for her safety, she was involuntarily committed.
July 27
There were two vehicle thefts, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Drugs in the road: At about 12:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of SW 323rd Street, someone reported that they found a bag containing what they believed to be an illicit substance. The substance was white and grainy. The bag was taken to the station for destruction.
Drunk and irate: At about 12:50 p.m. in the 36000 block of Enchanted Pkwy. S., a male and a female who were both extremely intoxicated attempted to enter a park. While in line, the male was asked to allow his bag to be searched. The male became very irate and almost assaulted an employee. They were ultimately trespassed and picked up by a friend.
Road rage: At about 3:50 p.m. in the 33000 block of 21st Avenue SW, two people got into a road rage incident, and both confronted each other. One of them, out of fear, shot a single bullet into the ground as a warning shot. The other person then fled and T-boned another vehicle. No injuries.
Public flasher: At about 7 p.m. in the 34000 block of 9th Avenue S., a woman stated that someone exposed his private parts to her. No suspect was located.
Uninvited guests refused to leave: At about 10:50 p.m., in the 30000 block of 7th Ave. S., there was a report of an unknown male entering a home uninvited and then refusing to leave. He was then arrested and booked into jail for burglary.
July 28
There were four vehicle thefts, and six vehicles were recovered on this day.
Weapon shot: At about 12:40 p.m. in the 30000 block of 3rd Ave. SW, officers responded to a weapons offense. It was classified as a weapon shot in an occupied building or vehicle.
July 29
There were four vehicle thefts, and six vehicles were recovered on this day.
Impounded vehicle theft: At about 9:30 a.m. in the 33000 block of 15th Ave. S., an unidentified male who appeared to be a transient ran into a tow yard and drove away with a recently impounded vehicle. The male used the vehicle to ram through the secured side of the gates at the location, causing extensive damage.
July 30
There were three vehicle thefts, and three vehicles were recovered on this day.
Drug bust: At about 12:10 a.m. in the 33000 block of 21st Avenue SW, an officer assisted in the arrest of suspects, selling a large number of narcotics to a confidential informant. The suspects were searched and arrested before being placed in the back of a Federal Way police car to be brought to the federal detention center. The DEA is the primary department responding to this case.
