Police seek a suspect whom they believe stabbed a man multiple times just before 5 a.m. Sept. 30 at the Federal Way Transit Center, 31621 23rd Ave. S.
The suspect and victim were both on a Metro Transit bus leaving the transit center when a confrontation erupted. The driver stopped the bus and the men exited.
The suspect then stabbed the victim, a black male in his 30s, multiple times before fleeing the scene, reports said. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is expected to recover from his injuries, Cmdr. Stan McCall said.
Images of the incident and the suspect were captured by a King County Metro Transit on-board bus camera. The suspect is at large. He is described as a light-skinned black male in his late teens or 20s, police spokeswoman Cathy Schrock said. He is approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build, she said. He wears his reddish-brown colored hair worn in a ponytail and has a goatee, Schrock said.
Police are unsure where the man resides. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Det. Douglas Laird at (253) 835-6724 or 911.
