The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:
• At 2:58 p.m. Aug. 24 in the 32100 block of 18th Avenue Southwest, it was reported that a 44-year-old suspect invited a 15-year-old to the suspect’s home, where oral sex between the two took place.
• At 6:25 p.m. Aug. 24 at 27202 Pacific Highway S., a man stole $450 from a business when an employee left the money atop a safe while helping a customer.
• At 11:16 a.m. Aug. 24 at 1042 S. 316th St., a male who was reported missing in Gilroy, Calif., told police he was kidnapped at gunpoint in Stockton, Calif., and was made to drive for hours. His car was then stolen. He said he hitchhiked 14 hours to Washington. The male had no visible injuries.
• At 7:39 a.m. Aug. 25 in the 33500 block of 36th Avenue Southwest, a male was involuntarily committed when police responded to a complaint and found him jumping around and yelling. His speech was slurred and a witness reported the man said he was going to kill someone.
• At 11:35 a.m. Aug. 25 at 28304 20th Ave., a man reported he was the victim of identify theft. The man received bills from Mexican credit card companies claiming he owed them money.
• At 7:09 p.m. Aug. 25 at 1600 21st Way S.W., a man reported four males surrounded and punched him, then stole cash and his phone.
• At 9:24 p.m. Aug. 25 at 112 S.W. 312th St., a fight broke out in the convenience store parking lot. A suspect approached the victim and asked the victim why he “squealed” on him about a Kent robbery case. The suspect punched the victim and left the scene.
• At 9:30 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 27300 block of 24th Avenue South, a woman called police to report an incident of road rage. A motorist threw a rock at her vehicle. Assault charges are to be filed.
• At 3:31 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 31500 block of 1st Avenue South, it was reported that a television, located next to a window and outdoor play area, was cracked by the impact of an pellet from an Airsoft gun. Residents found other multi-colored pellets in the backyard.
• At 3:30 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 33000 block of 10th Avenue Southwest, a Coach purse, Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses, diamond earrings and $75 worth of MAC cosmetics were stolen from a vehicle. The car’s window was left partially down and the door unlocked.
• At 8:43 p.m. Aug. 25 at 34525 16th Ave. S., a suspect ordered several drinks and food. He remained at the location for two hours before going outside to smoke. He then ran from the establishment, leaving an unpaid bill for $46.73. Police were provided a photo of the suspect, who was later identified when he was arrested for outstanding warrants.
