• At 4:39 p.m. Jan. 13 in the 1000 block of South 308th Street, a woman reported that while walking a man driving a blue station wagon pulled up near her and asked directions to the nearest Safeway. When the woman got closer to the car, she realized the man had his pants down and was touching his genitals. He sped away. An area check was unsuccessful.
• At 2:34 p.m. Jan. 14 at 31621 23rd Ave. S., a man noticed his vehicle was making a loud noise and realized his catalytic converter was stolen.
• At 11:05 a.m. Jan. 14 in the 800 block of South 317th Street, the Department of Corrections called to check on a child that may have been left alone. A man was found sleeping in the residence. He was arrested.
• At 10:50 a.m. Jan. 14 at 32000 20th Ave. S., a man was arrested for violating the city’s aggressive begging ordinance.
• At 12:15 p.m. Jan. 14 at 36001 1st Ave. S., a suspect assaulted two teachers and struck another teacher in the face with a clipboard. The subject was released to his or her mother.
• At 3:52 p.m. Jan. 14 at 30620 Pacific Highway South, a woman admitted to stealing $1,500 in cash payments from her employer. The employee was terminated.
• At 4:31 p.m. Jan. 14 at 34500 9th Ave. S., police recovered a stolen vehicle.
• At 5:22 p.m. Jan. 14 at 36001 1st Ave. S., a female reported the father of one of her classmates scolded her for speaking meanly to his daughter.
• At 2:24 p.m. Jan. 13 at 1426 S. 324th St., a male robbed a business of $967 using what looked like a handgun. The victim’s report changed several times during his or her written statement to police.
• At 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at 2001 South Commons, a female attempted to steal $514 worth of Target merchandise. Nearly 30 minutes later she attempted to steal a flat-screen television worth $600 by placing it in a cart and trying to exit the store.
• At 1:44 a.m. Jan. 12 in the 30 block of South 333rd Lane, officers responded to a fight involving a knife.
• At 12:19 p.m. Jan. 12 on 11th Place South, police responded to a incident in which a middle school student was threatening to perform suicide. A complainant told police the student confided that his or her father sexually molested her at age 5.
• At 2:37 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 28800 block of 23rd Place South, police responded to a burglary case. The burglar turned out to be the complainant’s husband, who had locked himself out of the home and failed to tell his significant other.
• At 8:09 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 30200 block of 29th Avenue South, a suspect was arrested after his son told police the suspect strangled him.
