Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Attempted voyeurism: At 8:33 p.m. Jan. 25 in an unspecified block of SW Dash Point Road, police were called on an attempt at voyeurism. According to the report, there are two siblings living in the home. One of the siblings attempted to record the female sibling while in the bathroom using an iPod. The report notes the female sibling noticed the iPod while she was getting ready in the morning.

• Just say no to drugs: At 8:32 a.m. Jan. 24 in the 4200 block of South 288th Street, two juveniles were observed exiting a vehicle in the parking lot of Thomas Jefferson High School while a basketball game was taking place. The school security officer saw, in plain view, drug paraphernalia in the vehicle while they exited. According to the report, a school administrator then searched the vehicle and discovered a bag of marijuana to go along with the paraphernalia.

• Stolen info and walmart.com: At 9:58 a.m. Jan. 25 in the 3800 block of SW 339th Street, the victim reported that someone had illegally used her information to make a purchase of $414.30 on walmart.com. According to the report, the victim believed her daughter may have been responsible, but was either unwilling or unable to produce evidence to substantiate her claim.

• Business sold via alleged forger: At 10:54 a.m. Jan. 25 in the 33000 block of Pacific Highway South, a business owner called to report fraud. According to the report, the owner had his signature forged on a document, which the forger then used to sell the business for $80,000.

• Barber pole stolen: At 10:43 a.m. Jan. 21 in the 800 block of SW 312th Street, the victim reported someone had forcibly removed an electric barber pole from the front of their building. According to the report, there were no suspects at the time the report was filed.

• Drunken man at The Commons: At 2:24 p.m. Jan. 25 in the 1900 block of South Commons, a man was yelling and swearing loudly at customers in The Commons Mall. According to the report, the man had an open bottle of whiskey on him. He was trespassed from the mall.

• Angry granddaughter: At 11:35 a.m. Jan. 24 in the 1800 block of South 282nd Place, a woman called to report an argument with her granddaughter. According to the report, the woman had told her granddaughter to feed her 4-year-old son, at which point the granddaughter cussed at her and told her to call Child Protective Services.

• Mailbox break-ins: At 11:50 a.m. Jan. 24 in the 33000 block of 5th Place SW, five mailboxes were broken into, and the mail in them was stolen. According to the report, there are no suspects.

• Man attempts to refund cosmetics: At 1:24 p.m. Jan. 24 in the 2200 block of South Commons, a man took a number of cosmetic items from the shelves of Target and attempted to refund them without buying them. According to the report, the man admitted to the attempted fraudulent refunds, saying he was a meth addict whose food stamps had recently run out.

• More mailbox mischief: At 3:51 p.m. Jan. 22 in the 1400 block of SW 323rd Street, Federal Way police responded to reports of another bank of mailboxes being broken into. According to the report, approximately 14 mailboxes were tampered with, and an unknown quantity of mail was taken.

• Employee gets angry: At 4:25 p.m. Jan. 24 in the 33000 block of 9th Avenue South, Federal Way police responded to a call of an employee being loud and aggressive and not responding to people’s requests to calm down. According to the report, the man, who had only been employed two days, was upset because of the pre-determined seating chart used by the place of employment. The man took the official company paperwork with his name and information on it, saying he was going to file a complaint with the Equal Opportunity Employer Board.

• Woman receives harassing phone calls: At 4:24 p.m. Jan. 24 in the 2100 block of SW 336th Street, a woman called to report being harassed by phone. According to the woman, she received a call from a man and a woman, both of whom have Indian accents. According to the report, the duo told the woman she owes them money. The woman said the man harassing her indicated he was with a federal government agency, but when pressed, the man would not identify which agency. This is the second such call the woman has received in the last six months, according to the report.
