Show some love to Federal Way on Parks Appreciation Day April 23

Volunteer events planned at Blueberry Farm Park and West Hylebos Wetlands.

Show some love to your city by participating in Saturday’s Parks Appreciation Day.

The annual City of Federal Way Parks Appreciation Day is from 9 .a.m to noon Saturday, April 23. The events are held rain or shine.

Clean-up and beautification projects are scheduled at the Blueberry Farm Park (630 S. 356th St.) and West Hylebos Wetlands (411 S. 348th St.).

Volunteers are needed to spread gravel, trim, weed, plant trees, and more. Tools are available, but participants should bring extra shovels, work gloves, clippers and wheelbarrows, sturdy shoes, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Bringing a water bottle and friends is encouraged.

Snacks will be provided. All are welcome to attend. Due to limited on-site parking, please use 348th Park & Ride for extra parking.
