Located in the Campus Business Center in Federal Way, Show Biz Kids is a family operated, non-auditioned show experience for kids ages 3 to 18.

With hardwood dance floors, wall-to-wall mirrors, wireless microphones, and impressive sound equipment, the Show Biz Kids studio fosters singing and dancing talent.

Performers choose between six different groups ranging from toddler prodigies to an actor-focused group dedicated to making the audience laugh between songs. Some kids choose to join more than one group.

The kids are finishing up the spring season, which had a theme of “One Hit Wonders.” Parents were awed by the performers’ renditions of classic popular songs such as “Eye of the Tiger,” “Whoomp! There it is” and “Who Let the Dogs Out.”

“We only require once-a-week, hourly rehearsals, so it’s not a major time commitment like some other activities or sports,” said Lauren Libby, who is the director, parent and former Biz Kid. “We provide a place where kids of all ages can experience the art of performance and all the self-confidence it can bring.”

The Show Biz Kids will perform a special concert to raise money for the Rainier View Elementary PTA at 7:30 p.m. May 17 at the school’s Family Fun Night.

The next season, a holiday-themed show, starts in September and runs through December. Learn more online at www.JoinShowBizKids.com or find them on Facebook. Show Biz Kids meets once a week for an hour and costs $12 per week.
