The following is a sample from the Federal Way police public information log:
• On April 23 at 2615 S. 284th St., a suspect was arrested at the residence without incident and booked into the King County jail for failing to register as a sex offender. The sex offense took place in Clark County.
• At 6:57 p.m. April 29 at 31515 20th Ave. S., officers responded to a shoplift in progress. Security and employees at the business were assaulted while trying to stop the two fleeing suspects. Suspect one fled on foot and was pursued by an officer, who tased and took the suspect into custody. The second suspect fled in a vehicle and was still at large at the time of the report.
• At 12:20 p.m. April 29 at 1405 S. 348th St., officers responded to three suspects stealing ammunition from a sporting goods store. The suspects left the location in a brown van, but were later contacted by police. The suspects were cited with theft in the third degree and later released.
• At 10 a.m. April 28 at 2011 S. 341st Place, it was reported that a suspect unlawfully entered a business parking lot by cutting through a chain-link fence. The suspect then cut the gas line of a parked truck and stole the gas. Damage was reported at less than $1,000.
• At 2:40 p.m. April 27 at 34518 15th Place S.W., a woman reported receiving harassing phone calls from unknown suspects during a two-week time span. Profanity and veiled threats were present in the calls and the victim suspected two juveniles who were harassing her daughter at school may be responsible for the calls. No definite suspects were identified.
• At 1:18 p.m. April 27 at 2111 S.W. 352nd St., a suspect violated a no-contact order by attempting to contact the victim at her residence. The suspect fled the scene and hid from police in a nearby wooded area. A K-9 team detained the suspect and the suspect was booked into the King County jail.
• At 8:53 a.m. April 27 at Lakota Park, a man was contacted for panhandling. He was discovered to have five warrants and was arrested and booked into King County jail.
• At 8:32 April 27 at St. Francis Hospital, a container with contents that appeared to be marijuana was found on the property. No suspects or witnesses were identified.
• At 6:22 a.m. April 26, a woman’s 10-year-old daughter reported to her mother that a family friend had attempted to rape her. Police responded to the report and followed up by visiting the woman’s ex-husband’s residence. There, they confirmed that the friend had placed the girl’s head in his crotch area several times and offered her $20 not to tell about his actions.
• At 5:50 p.m. April 25 at 33600 21st Ave. S.W., two victims reported being assaulted by suspects known to them as fellow Decatur High School students. Injuries included a dislocated shoulder and broken nose.
• At 11:14 p.m. April 24 at 30800 14th Ave. S., two males were seen walking away from freshly-painted graffiti. Both men were arrested for graffiti and possession of graffiti tools.
• At 7:23 p.m. April 23 at 28620 Pacific Highway S., a woman reported that a man, whom she had a no-contact order against, came to her residence and threatened to kill the woman’s two children who were not fathered by him. He then threatened to kill her once he was released from jail.
• At 8:57 a.m. April 23 at 2123 S.W. 318th Place, a man reported receiving a phone bill in the amount of $240 from Sprint. He did not open the account with Sprint and was not aware of it.
• At 11:35 a.m. April 22 at 2807 S. 299th St., a suspect was stopped for not having a front license plate on the vehicle being driven. Police discovered the suspect had a suspended license and the suspect was arrested. A search of the vehicle produced nearly 30 grams of methamphetamine, baggies and glass pipes. The vehicle and $142 were seized from the suspect, who was arrested and booked into jail on a warrant.
