Seattle girl says she was raped in Federal Way | Crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Alleged rape: At 6:03 p.m. May 16, it was reported that a 12-year-old girl was raped at an unknown church in Federal Way. The girl ran away from a female group home in Seattle and when she returned, she told the supervisor she was raped by two men that she met on a bus.

• Convicted felon arrested: At 12:28 p.m. May 18 at 33120 Pacific Highway S., a convicted property crime felon was arrested at a discount gun store for being in possession of a handgun with a filed-off serial number.

• Recovered property: At 10:02 a.m. May 18 at 2333 S.W. Dash Point Road, police were dispatched to recover found property. A rusted bicycle in poor condition with no known owner was picked up and placed for safe holding at the police station.

• Animal complaint: At 2:51 a.m. May 18 in the 2400 block of SW 316th Street, police responded to an animal complaint. A witness said a raccoon came into his or her backyard and began fighting with the family dog. The raccoon suffered two broken legs during the fight. Police shot and killed the raccoon and the witness disposed of the animal.

• Transit center fight: At 11:43 p.m. May 19 at 31621 23rd Ave. S., an intoxicated suspect at the Federal Way transit center made racial slurs toward a group of men. The men then attacked the suspect. A bus driver caught the fight on video tape.

• Attempted strong-arm robbery: At 9:57 p.m. May 19 at 1600 S.W. 312th St., police responded to an attempted strong-arm robbery. A female clerk stated a male entered the store, got beer and told her he was robbing the store. The suspect ran out the door and the victim tackled him. He dropped the beer and fled to the nearby woods.

• Stolen refrigerator: At 3:40 p.m. May 18 in the 33400 block of 35th Ave. S.W., a victim’s former friend took the friend’s refrigerator without permission.
