A convicted felon with a long “history [of] violent crime” was apprehended in Federal Way on Friday on a $500,000 outstanding warrant.

The Seattle Police Department arrested Amrico Flight, 26, utilizing 40 to 50 officers, including detectives, SWAT team officers, two K9s, a helicopter and FBI agents. Seattle Police were looking for Flight at a Federal Way apartment complex (32101 20th Ave. SW) and saw him enter a vehicle on the passenger side. Seattle Police SWAT stopped the vehicle near Southwest 320th Street and arrested Flight there.

Flight was arrested in connection with April 2015 charges of eluding a police vehicle, felony harassment and second-degree assault with a deadly weapon. Those charges stemmed from an incident that month in which Flight allegedly fled from police in an SUV he’d borrowed from a friend that he later threatened to kill for being a “snitch.”

Officers were also watching for Flight before his 2015 arrest, that time on an outstanding warrant for a 2014 drug case. Court records for Flight are numerous, with felonies dating back to at least 2007. He was convicted on drug charges and pleaded guilty in 2011 for second-degree criminal assistance and again in 2013 for his involvement in a drive-by shooting.

Seattle police at the Federal Way apartments Friday were also looking for “David Mills,” but Mills’ whereabouts are currently unknown. According to police, Mills also has a history of violent crime and is considered armed and dangerous.
