Salvador Dali etching shows up at Federal Way Goodwill

An employee at the Federal Way Goodwill discovered an etching by legendary Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali.

An employee at the Federal Way Goodwill discovered an etching by legendary Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali.

The etching’s donor remains anonymous, according to media reports. Tacoma Goodwill is auctioning the item online, where the piece is going for $7,655 with 62 bids as of Thursday night. The auction ends Nov. 19.

Titled “Reflection,” the etching is also signed by Salvador Dali and includes a certificate of authenticity. The etching is numbered 126 out of 150.

Dali’s most famous work is “The Persistence of Memory,” which depicts a landscape of melting pocket watches. Dali died in 1989.
