Robbery at gaming store | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Gunpoint robbery: At 8:05 p.m. Dec. 27 at 31840 Pacific Highway South, an unknown male robbed a gaming store. He walked in at closing time wearing a ski mask over his face and produced an automatic pistol. The suspect made employees empty registers and a safe, then left with approximately $4,000 in cash.

• Vehicle leaves roadway: At 6:36 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 5100 block of Southwest Dash Point Road, a witness saw a vehicle swerve and leave the roadway. It crashed through a fence and stopped short of hitting a house. The occupant of the vehicle fled the scene.

• Graffiti: At 5:28 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 29800 block of 3rd Ave. S.W., an unknown suspect used pink spray paint to write initials on a concrete wall.

• Fight: At 2:26 p.m. Dec. 24 at 1928 S. Commons, an altercation took place at the mall. One suspect took a gun out of his backpack and pointed it at another male. No shots were fired. The suspect and two others fled, but were found and arrested.

• Surprise attack: At 4:03 a.m. Dec. 25 in the 2400 block of South Star Lake Road, a victim was assaulted by a suspect when she stepped out of a vehicle on her way to an apartment. She screamed and sprayed the suspect with pepper spray.

• Creating a scene: At 6:10 p.m. Dec. 26 at 1928 S. Commons, a suspect was contacted at the mall for dancing and creating a disturbance. The suspect was issued a trespass notice.

• Fake money: At 4:46 p.m. Dec. 26 at 1928 S. Commons, 13 counterfeit bills were passed at various locations at the mall.

• Gunpoint robbery: At 3:44 p.m. Dec. 26 at 2201 S. Commons, a victim was robbed at gunpoint in the Target parking lot. The victim was doing business with the suspect when the gun was pulled. The victim’s property was taken.

• Home burglary: At 6:49 a.m. Dec. 26 in the 32300 block of 40th Place Southwest, a victim discovered his or her garage door was forced open and approximately $800 worth of tools and other items were stolen.

• Cell phone photographs: At 6:56 a.m Dec. 26 in the 29700 block of 3rd Avenue South, a person reported finding a cell phone in his or her front yard. The complainant charged the phone in an attempt to find its owner and discovered photos of an assault rifle, shotgun, drug use and what looked like blood on a bed. The phone was turned over to police.

• Counterfeit bill: At 7:54 p.m. Dec. 27 at 1600 S.W. 312th St., an unknown male presented a counterfeit $10 to pay for his gasoline. An employee confiscated the money and he paid by other means. The employee did not believe the man knew the bill was fake.
