Prayer vigil Monday for victims of gun violence

Steel Lake Presbyterian Church (1829 S. 308th St.) is inviting the community to a prayer vigil Monday, July 18 at 7 p.m., to remember those who have been touched by gun violence in Federal Way and the nation.

Steel Lake Presbyterian Church (1829 S. 308th St.) is inviting the community to a prayer vigil Monday, July 18 at 7 p.m., to remember those who have been touched by gun violence in Federal Way and the nation.

According to a statement, all are welcome to “come as you are” and to hear prayers for families, loved ones, police and other first responders, faith communities and medical staff who deal with the violence in our community every day.

“This will be a service of peace and healing for the community and those who attend,” Steel Lake Presbyterian Pastor Will Mason said in the statement. “Please come and help start a movement of hope and peace in our community.”
