Blocking traffic: At 7:40 a.m. in the 2500 block of South 288th Street, there was a report of an abandoned vehicle blocking lanes of traffic. The vehicle was stripped with the engine removed. A department of licensing check indicated that the vehicle was a U-Haul and not reported stolen.
Burglary: At 11:25 a.m. in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report of a commercial burglary at Master Na Martial Arts Studio.
Threats with a knife: At 3 p.m. in the 1200 block of South 320th Street, there was a report that a suspect stole property from the location and then threatened employees with a knife. The suspect was booked into jail.
April 17
There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.
Struck by bullet while sleeping: At 4:59 a.m. in the 100 block of South 339th Circle Drive, officers responded to reports of a shooting. A victim was contacted who said she was struck by a bullet while sleeping. She was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Deceased found: At 4:04 p.m. in the 1400 block of South 320th Street, there was a report that a deceased person was found behind a building. Circumstances were consistent with a drug overdose. There is currently no evidence of a crime.
April 18
There was one vehicle theft reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Possum put out of its misery: At 8:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of South Star Lake Road, there was a report of a severely disabled possum. Upon arrival, officers found that the possum had to be put down. Officers discharged a firearm twice, incapacitating the possum. Officers removed the body from the residence and properly disposed of it.
Crashed into fence: At 2:25 p.m. in the 31000 block of 10th Place Southwest, officers responded to a vehicle that had crashed into a fence. Upon contact, the suspect seemed to be driving under the influence, but the man fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, officers apprehended the man and took him into custody. The man was found driving under the influence.
Vehicle crashed into tree: At 3:16 p.m. in the 1800 block of South 288th Street, a report was made of a car that had crashed into a tree, was unoccupied, but was still running. The VIN indicated that the vehicle was reported stolen out of Auburn.
Scammed out of $1,000: At 7:57 p.m. in the 29000 block of Pacific Highway South, a report was made that someone claimed to have been called by a person identifying themselves as a detective from Washington, D.C. The person then sent $1,000 to the person. The reporting party said it was a scam.
April 19

Assault with a firearm: At 9:58 a.m. in the 33000 block of Weyerhauser Way South, officers responded to a report of a shooting.
April 20
There were four vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Driver found passed out: At 1:18 a.m. in the 34000 block of 5th Place Southwest, there was a music complaint. When officers arrived, they found a passed-out subject at the wheel of a vehicle. The suspect was arrested for driving under the influence.
Firearm discharge: At 6:15 p.m. in the 35000 block of 6th Avenue Southwest, there was a report of two gunshots heard by multiple callers. Upon arrival, officers found two shell casings.
April 21
There was one vehicle theft reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.
Subway burglary: At 8 a.m. in the 2100 block of Southwest 336th Street, there was a report of a burglary that occurred overnight at Subway. The only missing item was a safe that contained $1,500.
Student struck over the head: At 2:34 p.m. at a Federal Way elementary school, the principal reported that a male student struck another student in the head with a laptop. The victim was evaluated for minor injuries. The parents of both students were notified.
Donuts in the intersection: At 10:28 p.m. in the 35000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that a white sedan with a black top had completed several donuts at the intersection of South 356th Street and Pacific Highway South. The vehicle was gone upon arrival. The donuts caused traffic to be stopped and put people at risk. The license plate of the vehicle could not be located.
April 22

Road rage: At 2:01 p.m. in the 300 block of Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report from a woman who said that after a road rage incident, a woman told her that if she passed her again, he would kill her. The reporting party said that the woman then struck the hood of her car before driving away.
