Federal Way will close a portion of the West Campus Trail, an extension of the BPA Trail, from Nov. 13 through December in order to remove about 60 cottonwood trees and several alder trees that are diseased and have damaged the path.
The trail will be closed from South 225th Street to South 320th Street. The trees will be replaced with other species that are not as damaging to the trails’ asphalt and do not pose a threat of falling on nearby residences.
