Federal Way police are investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman, who was left outside St. Francis Hospital early Wednesday morning.
Hospital staff discovered the woman lying on the ground bleeding near the hospital’s main entrance at about 4:05 a.m., police said in a media release.
At the time the woman, who lived outside of Federal Way city limits, was discovered, a witness reported hearing a nondescript vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
Attempts by hospital staff to revive the victim failed, and she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police are treating the case as a homicide until the King County Medical Examiner’s Office determines the official cause of death and are working to determine where the crime took place.
