Police cruiser tagged with red graffiti | Federal Way crime blotter

Following is a sample from the Federal Way police log:

• Police cruiser gets tagged: At 8:30 a.m. July 31 in the 33700 block of 32nd Avenue Southwest, it was reported that a Tacoma police vehicle was marked with graffiti. An anarchy sign and initials were placed on the vehicle with red permanent marker.

• Theft at church: At 9:59 p.m. July 31 at 405 S. 312th St., someone stole $5,000 in cash, credit cards and two checks from a purse that was left in a church office for approximately 10 minutes.

• Threatening injury: At 7:54 p.m. July 31 at 2201 S. Commons, a suspect threatened to cut a victim with a box cutter.

• Road rage: At 11:22 a.m. July 31 in the 31900 block of 6th Avenue South, two victims were assaulted and threatened following a road rage incident.

• Shots fired, or not: At 9:03 p.m. Aug. 1 at 33427 26th Place S.W., police responded to shots fired. The victim reported he was in an argument with another male who pulled a gun and pointed it at him. No shots were fired.

• Fraud: At 12:23 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 2200 block of South Star Lake Road, a victim was checking an account balance when a known suspect asked the victim for his or her debit card. The card had the pin number attached due to a learning disability. The victim handed over the card, but reported unauthorized withdrawals at a later date.

• Physical domestic abuse: At 6:53 a.m. Aug. 1 at 820 Southwest 308th St., a suspect and victim were in a park when the suspect struck the victim on top of her head five times. Bumps and pain persisted. The victim reported the abuse has occurred for the past two years.

• Cash for sex: At 12:12 a.m. Aug. 1 at 27300 Pacific Highway S., a witness said she agreed to perform oral sex in exchange for $100. The suspect denied the allegations. The witness provided a statement and the suspect was cited and released.

• Concealed weapon: At 5:39 p.m. Aug. 2 at 1928 S. Commons, a suspect was arrested for carrying a concealed dangerous weapon. He or she had a machete in a backpack while on mall property.

• Auto repair accident: At 12:15 a.m. Aug. 2 at an undisclosed location on 29th Avenue Southwest, a victim was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with major injuries after he was struck by a vehicle he had been working on. The victim was replacing the brakes.
