According to the Des Moines Police Department, officers responded to the Redondo boat launch late Wednesday night, June 19, following reports of a fight with shots fired.

The incident occurred around 11:22 p.m. June 19. Multiple 911 calls reported numerous people fighting and gunfire at the boat launch. By the time officers arrived, all participants had fled, authorities said.

Shortly afterward, officers were notified that a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound had arrived at a local hospital. Additionally, a vehicle matching the suspect’s description was involved in a collision in Federal Way. Officers responded to the scene and took the suspect into custody. A firearm was also recovered, according to police.
