Dec. 7
Car crashed: At about 3:52 a.m. near the 1100 block of SW Campus Drive, a vehicle was found off the road down a hill. The vehicle had struck a tree and there was damage to the front end, driver’s side door and the passenger rear window. The registered owner was contacted and did not know the vehicle was stolen.
Felony warrant: At about 5:57 a.m. near 21st Avenue SW and Dash Point Road, officers contacted a suspect on a traffic stop. Officers found the suspect had a felony warrant from the King County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for motor vehicle theft. Officers arrested the suspect and booked them into jail.
Fireworks at school: At about 8 a.m. near the 2800 block of SW 320th Street, a school resource officer found a small homemade firework was set off in a boys bathroom. The high school’s administration found another unfired firework. There was no damage to the school’s facilities. The school is handling the investigation.
Gun pointed: At about 4:20 p.m. near the 32800 block of Pacific Highway South, a person reported that a man in a vehicle pointed a gun at him.
Robbed, pistol whipped: At about 5:20 p.m. near the 33500 block of 13th Place South, a man reported he was robbed at gunpoint then pistol whipped. He fled the scene and called police. The incident was captured on city surveillance cameras.
Shooting at downstairs neighbor: At about 7:08 p.m. near the 2300 block of SW 334th Place, officers responded to reports of an illegal discharge. The investigation found a person fired into the floor of his residence at his downstairs neighbor. The neighbor was not home during the incident and was notified.
Dec. 8
Shoplifter crashes into cars: At about 2:58 p.m. near the 2200 block of South Commons, a man was suspected of stealing merchandise from Target. The suspect then collided with two vehicles in the parking lot as he fled from police. The suspect’s vehicle had no license plate and he was not captured.
Bounty hunters: At about 6:21 p.m. near the 2300 block of SW 352nd Street, a woman called to report that unknown men beat her, her boyfriend, her child and kicked her dog. Later, bounty hunters called to report that the woman pulled a gun on them.
Ex shows up with shovel: At about 11:06 p.m. near SW 312th Place, a man called 911 reporting that his ex-girlfriend was outside and making threats to break into his home. The ex-girlfriend was found walking around the house with a shovel and was banging on windows. She was then arrested by police.
Dec. 10
Shoplifters caught: At about 6:15 p.m. near the 2200 block of South Commons, two female suspects were arrested for shoplifting from Target. One of the suspects was booked into jail on a felony warrant and the other suspect was processed then released at the scene.
Hotel room shot: At about 8:30 p.m. near the 31700 block of Gateway Center Boulevard, officers responded to the Hampton Inn & Suites regarding a shots-fired call. A single bullet was shot through the door of one of the rooms. Ten occupants were removed, briefly detained and identified. No injuries were discovered. Surveillance footage shows an unknown person shooting a firearm toward the door and then fleeing the area.
Dec. 11
First gas station robbery: At about 4:24 a.m. near the 1600 block of SW Dash Point Road, a gas station employee reported that two unknown men attempted to rob the gas station with a firearm. There were no injuries and no items were stolen. The two suspects fled in a vehicle.
Second gas station robbery: At about 4:34 a.m. near the 34700 block of Pacific Highway South, officers responded to a panic alarm at a gas station. Officers learned it was an attempted armed robbery. The robbery was interrupted and nothing was taken. One of the suspects had a handgun and the suspects were last seen in a stolen vehicle, heading toward I-5.
Robbery: At about 4:15 p.m. near the 4200 block of SW 337th Place, officers responded to a second-degree robbery.
Dec. 12
Car leaving bar hits 3: At about 11 p.m. near the 31200 block of Pacific Highway South, a suspect vehicle struck three unoccupied vehicles in the parking lot of the Stars Bar, damaging all three. There is possible suspect information.
Armed robbery at apartments: At about 4:45 p.m. near the 5800 block of 16th Avenue South, an armed robbery occurred at the Cross Point Apartments. The suspect pointed a firearm at the residences during the incident before fleeing the scene.
