Officer completeS training with Homeland Security
Federal Way police officer Winson Waterman completed Homeland Security training at the Center for Domestic Preparedness in Alaska recently, according to a CDP press release.
As part of the training, Waterman participated in crime scene management, hazardous material collection and training in weapons of mass destruction in a toxic environment.
Waterman was selected from among one million U.S. emergency responders. Training at the CDP ensures that responders gain critical skills and confidence and are prepared to effectively respond to local emergency incidents.
