Rebecca Robertson was sworn in as a new judge for the Federal Way Municipal Court on Dec. 31 at City Hall. Robertson replaces Michael Morgan, who lost his bid for re-election last November.

Judge David Larson was sworn in for a new term earlier that morning.

New city council members will be sworn in 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at City Hall. Roger Freeman was elected as the Federal Way City Council’s newest member, replacing Eric Faison. Council members Linda Kochmar and Jeanne Burbidge also won re-election.

Federal Way School Board members Ed Barney and Angela Griffin retained their seats and were sworn in last November.

John Rickert was elected to the South King Fire and Rescue board of commissioners, and Len Englund retained his seat on the Lakehaven Utility District board.
