Woman assaults boyfriend: At 9:25 a.m. Dec. 8 in the 400 block of South 323rd Street, a man reported that his girlfriend had punched him in the face. According to the report, the man believed his girlfriend was high on crack cocaine, while the responding officer noted the man had been smoking marijuana and appeared high.
Opened mail in the road: At 1:26 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the 2300 block of South 288th Place, a man reported finding a large pile of opened mail in the middle of the street. The report notes the mail belonged to several residences in the immediate vicinity.
Mailbox broken into: At 1:02 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the 1600 block of Southwest 324th Place, a woman reported that her secured mailbox appeared to have been broken into, although it was unclear if any mail had been stolen.
Man punches another man in the face: At 6:46 p.m. on Dec. 8 in the 33000 block of Eight Avenue South, a man was arrested for punching another man in the face. The report notes the altercation took place in the parking lot of the Federal Way Police Department.
Shooting at residence: At 3 a.m. on Dec. 6 in the 30000 block of Seventh Avenue Southwest, a person was shot by another person inside a residence. The report is unclear on the status of the victim.
Copper wire theft: At 8:24 a.m. on Dec. 5 in the 700 block of Southwest 338th Street, a job site superintendent reported the theft of approximately $100 in copper wiring from the job site.
Man assaulted by ex-wife: At 3:41 a.m. on Dec. 6 in the 3600 block of Southwest 336th Street, a man reported that his ex-wife assaulted him. According to the report, the assault took place when the ex-wife showed up unexpectedly at the couple’s son’s school.
Neighborly feud: At 5:16 p.m. on Dec. 6 in the 37000 block of 18th Avenue South, a woman reported that unknown suspects had apparently applied an unknown chemical to her yard, killing the grass. The report notes the woman believed her neighbor may be responsible, because there has been a feud between them over the neighbor’s owning of goats.
Burglary: At 7:47 a.m. on Dec. 4 in the 30000 block of 16th Place Southwest, a woman reported that unknown suspects broke into her residence and stole multiple personal electronics, including a 60-inch flat screen television.
TV theft foiled: At 6:01 p.m. on Dec. 5 in the 2200 block of South Commons, a man attempted to steal a flat screen television from a store by exiting through the store’s fire exit. The report notes the man had a vehicle waiting for him, but loss prevention officers foiled the attempt. The television was recovered, although the man was able to evade capture when he fled the area on foot.
