This year, Nautilus Elementary students took first place at the Battle of the Books competition with Mirror Lake in second and Sherwood Forest in third place.

The Battle of the Books, a Federal Way Public Schools elementary school tradition, was held April 23, 2015, in the Great Hall at Todd Beamer High School.

The competition involves teams of third, fourth, and fifth graders who have won at their school level competitions. The competition is always spirited and very close as the students show their knowledge of 16 books that they have been reading and studying for the past few months, school district officials said.
