From staff reports

Mystery author J.A. Jance will stop by the Federal Way 320th St. Library (848 S. 320th St.) as part of the promotional tour for her new book, “Clawback,” at 3 p.m. on March 19.

Registration for the event opened March 1 and is required by clicking here or by calling 253-946-7698.

“Clawback,” according to a release from its publisher, features television-reporter-turned-amateur-sleuth Ali Reynolds tracking down the deadly mastermind behind an elaborate Ponzi scheme. The plot was inspired by Jance’s personal experience with being victimized by a Seattle-based Ponzi scheme – among the largest in the state’s history – that unraveled in 2010.

Jance is the New York Times bestselling author of the Ali Reynolds series, the J.P. Beaumont series and the Joanna Brady series, as well as four interrelated Southwestern thrillers featuring the Walker family. Born in South Dakota and brought up in Bisbee, Ariz., Jance lives with her husband in Seattle and Tuscon, Ariz. More information is available at jajance.com.
