Federal Way City Councilman Martin Moore announced his bid for re-election to council position 6 today. Moore, who was elected to office in November 2013, said in a press release he looks forward to making a case why Federal Way residents should re-elect him in the upcoming election.

“If I am re-elected, I will continue to be a partner for all residents in Federal Way,” according to Moore’s press release. “I will focus on homelessness and work to ensure that public safety is addressed at its root level. In addition, I will push to increase human services funding so that we can work toward meeting the challenges of providing support, (and) ensuring positive outcomes for the most vulnerable in our community. Federal Way deserves an atmosphere of governmental and financial transparency. I will continue to support such policies and budget measures that empower the public to be engaged. Lastly, I will continue to work to build a city that values jobs and working families because that’s how we grow the middle class.
