March 19

There were four vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Man flees from officers: At 2:28 p.m. in the 100 block of Southwest Campus Drive, there was a report that officers found a man passed out in a vehicle that was stolen. The officers approached the man, but then he fled on foot. He was not located, but he was identified by officers.

March 20

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Electrical wires taken out of the light pole: At 8:34 p.m. in the 31000 block of 18th Avenue South, the reporting party stated that he was attempting to fix the parking lot lights and observed that all the light poles’ electrical wires had been taken. No suspects or witnesses located.

Firearm stolen from vehicle: At 10 p.m. in the 35000 block of Enchanted Parkway South, there was a report that a firearm had been stolen from a vehicle.

March 21

Gun brandishing: At 3:16 p.m. in the 200 block of Southwest 319th Lane, the reporting party stated that they responded to a threat with a weapon. The victim stated that the suspect brandished a handgun due to road rage.

Middle schooler with history of assaulting others: At 12:31 p.m. at a Federal Way high school, there was a report that a school administrator noticed what appeared to be a fight occurring via live feed on cameras. As officers and school security were en route, the suspect, who was not a student, fled on foot. The victim refused to assist with the prosecution. His friends stated that the suspect who fled implied that he had a weapon by saying that he had a “pole” on him. The suspect has a history of assaulting others and will be trespassed from the high school. He is currently a student at a local middle school.

March 22

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

March 23

There were three vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Gunshots reported: At 2:16 a.m. in the 900 block of Southwest Campus Drive, multiple callers reported that sounds of four to five shots were coming from a nearby building in Glen Park. Arriving officers did not locate any vehicle or building defects, and found no casings and no victims. A witness stated that he heard four loud shots, then saw two unknown people running away west in dark clothing. He used his cellphone to capture them possibly getting into a white unknown SUV and leaving the complex. Another resident said he heard shots, too. This building has been the scene for drive-bys in the past, usually the bottom-floor apartment. No suspects at this time.

Asleep behind the wheel: At 3:38 a.m. in the 34000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report that a female was found asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle. She was arrested for driving under the influence and ultimately booked into jail.

Gun stolen from the break room: At 10:45 a.m. in the 1600 block of South 344th Street, a man reported that while at work, an unknown male stole his backpack containing a firearm from the break room. A male was seen exiting the store with the backpack and heading northbound on 16th Avenue South.

Burglary: At 6:16 p.m. in the 1300 block of South 324th Street, there was a report that officers were dispatched to a commercial alarm at Cosmo Professional. Prior to arrival, it was aired that the security company saw a suspect inside the business who had fled. Officers found that the front door was pried open, and a metal cage of merchandise had the lock sawed through.

Fight at the skating rink: At 10:50 p.m. in the 3200 block of Pacific Highway South, the manager of El Centro Skate Rink called about multiple subjects fighting in the parking lot, and one possibly with a gun. Multiple officers responded and detained one male as he was leaving.

March 24

There was one vehicle theft reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Possible stalking: At 8:27 p.m. in the 33000 block of 8th Avenue South, there was a report of a possible stalking. Officers collected an Apple AirTag from inside a child’s jacket. No suspect information available. The case is inactive.

Car left on blocks: At 10:36 p.m. in the 100 block of Southwest 332nd Street, there was a report from a victim who said all four of her vehicle’s wheels and tires were stolen. The vehicle was left on blocks.

Firearm found: At 2:30 p.m. in the 33000 block of 1st Avenue Southwest, there was a report that a firearm was found at the Cove Apartments. The firearm was a Derringer .22 LR pistol that was left behind at an abandoned unit.

March 25

There were zero vehicle thefts reported, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Threatening message through Instagram: At 1:58 p.m. at a Federal Way high school, a student reported to staff that she had received a threatening message via a fake Instagram account.

Weapons violation: At 7:33 p.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Highway South, there was a report of a weapons violation.
