Oct. 2

There were three vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Tagger arrested: At about 2:20 a.m. in the 31000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers responded to a male who was reported to be tagging business windows. The male was arrested and booked.

Drive-by shooting: At about 4:30 a.m. in the 33600 block of 21st Ave. SW, officers responded to the listed location for the report of a drive-by shooting. A possible suspect was identified. There were no reported injuries.

Man swinging hammer: At about 2:50 p.m. in the 30000 block of 1st Ave. S., there were multiple reports of a man erratically swinging a hammer near a school and in a medical office. Upon contact, the man was found to have a no-bail felony warrant from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office for assault. The man was taken into custody and transported to the PCSO.

Man hit with a handgun: At about 3:20 p.m. in the 28000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., two suspects went to the victim’s apartment to look for an acquaintance of the victim. The victim walked to and got into the suspect’s car, and then they hit him in the face with a handgun. The victim got out, and the suspects drove off.

Bullet found in home: At about 6:10 p.m. in the 28000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers responded to someone reporting that they had found a bullet fired through a wall into their apartment while they were away from home. The bullet was collected and booked in evidence. The report said that the bullet most likely came from a shooting that happened the day prior.

Oct. 3

There were four vehicle thefts, and two vehicles were recovered on this day.

Man loses three handguns: At about 8:50 a.m. in the 4900 block of SW 319th Lane, a man reported that his vehicle had been stolen, but he had retrieved it himself from Seattle. The man said that after retrieving his car, he searched it and discovered that the three handguns he had inside were stolen.

Group juvenile fight: At about 3:25 p.m. in the 25000 block of 16th Ave. S., officers were dispatched to a fight involving a large group of juveniles originating at an apartment complex. Numerous involved parties were contacted, and no injuries were reported beyond a complaint of pain.

Oct. 4

There were zero vehicle thefts, and three vehicles were recovered on this day.

Shooting, no injuries: At about 10:20 p.m. in the 100 block of S. 334th St., police were dispatched to a report of gunshots heard by multiple residents. After canvassing the area, officers found seven 9mm casings and two 10mm casings. No damage was found on the property, and no person was injured. Case inactive pending new leads.

Oct. 5

There was one vehicle theft, and one vehicle was recovered on this day.

Intoxicated man drops his gun: At about 3:35 a.m. in the 32000 block of 25th Ave. S., officers responded to a report of three unwanted males at a hotel. Upon arrival, they were flagged down by three males. One of the males said he needed his jacket and cellphone from the hotel, and when that happened, the two juveniles began to yell at that male, and then a gun fell out of one of the male’s waistbands. The man who dropped the gun was 20 years old and very intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested for a concealed pistol license violation.

Oct. 6

There were two vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Man won’t stop walking in the roadway: At about 9:10 a.m. in the 30000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers stopped a subject standing in the roadway and issued a verbal warning for disorderly conduct. The officers left, but the subject continued to impede traffic by walking in the roadway at random. Probable cause was established for disorderly conduct. The male was arrested without incident.

Stolen handgun: At about 5 p.m. at Walmart in Federal Way, a shoplifter was detained by police officers, and he was found to have a handgun stolen out of Tacoma. The suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail for possession of a stolen firearm.

Oct. 7

There were two vehicle thefts, and four vehicles were recovered on this day.

Assault on a mother and daughter: At about 1:50 p.m. in the 29000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers responded to a verbal dispute at a Multicare clinic. Two suspects were seen on video assaulting a mother and daughter who were pulled from their vehicle. The suspects also stole a wallet and phone from the victims. The suspects have not been identified yet.

Oct. 8

There were two vehicle thefts, and zero vehicles were recovered on this day.

Strong-arm robbery: At about 1:25 a.m. in the 33000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., officers responded to a recent strong-arm robbery. The investigation revealed probable cause for the second-degree robbery.

Business window: At about 6:50 a.m. in the 27000 block of Pacific Hwy. S., there were reports of a bullet shot through the window of a business. On arrival, it was determined that an object was thrown through the window. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
